Collen attended Art College and trained in advertising for the first few years of her career, working for a number of large company’s throughout Auckland.

Collen Stewart’s interest in art has spanned over the last thirty years, painting and selling works in both Oils and Watercolours, she has won many awards including the Iris Fisher award at Te Tuhi Art Gallery in Pakuranga. She has had her own exhibitions in the members lounge and exhibited in the Monterey Art Gallery and other galleries. Collen was Manager of the Monterey Art Gallery for a number of year when it first opened in 1999.

She enjoys figurative works as well scenic, the style of Colleen’s painting are in the form of abstraction or impressionism.

Colleen has sold works at galleries, exhibitions, and privately to customers in New Zealand, England, Scotland, Switzerland and Norway.
